CHARLESTON, S.C. - South Carolina property owners and businesses have filed three class actions in federal court over anticipated damage to the state's coastal regions and related business losses from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Brandt, et al. v. BP P.L.C., et al., No. 2:10-cv-01460; Divine Fish House Inc., et al. v. BP P.L.C., et al., No. 2:10-cv-01461; and The Litchfield Company LLC v. BP P.L.C., et al., No. 2:10-cv-01462 (D. S.C.).
The three complaints were filed electronically on June 6 in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.
