LAKE CHARLES, La. - A Louisiana court has ordered BP to accede to demands by state Attorney General Buddy Caldwell and produce data on oil spill claims to state agencies that oversee labor issues and social services. State of Louisiana v. BP Plc., et al., No. 57-854, Section B (La. 25th Jud. Ct., Plaquemines Parish).
Caldwell filed the petition on June 4 in the 25th Judicial District Court for Plaquemines Parish, citing the informational needs of the Louisiana Workforce Commission. He filed an amended petition on June 9 and the court issued its order on June 10.
