HOUSTON - Defendants in three personal injury cases removed them from state to federal court before the Texas high court could act on motions by BP Exploration & Production Inc. to consolidate and stay discovery. In re Deepwater Horizon Incident Litigation, No. Unavailable (Texas Sup. Ct.).
The consolidation and stay motions were filed in the Texas Supreme Court on May 21, three days before each of the cases was removed to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
