HOUSTON - Some of the earliest filers in the Gulf oil spill litigation have asked a federal judge in Texas to transfer the Deepwater Horizon oil rig's owners' limitation of liability petition to Louisiana. In re Complaint and Petition of Triton Asset Leasing GmbH, et al., No. 4:10-cv-01721 (S.D. Texas).
Counsel for Natalie Roshto and her family filed the ex parte transfer motion in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas on May 17, and asked for an expedited hearing on the motion.
