Plaintiffs Again Move for Creation of Uponor Plumbing Fittings MDL

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Plaintiffs in nearly two dozen lawsuits alleging damage caused by Uponor brass pipe fittings have filed a petition to transfer and consolidate their claims before a single federal judge. In Re: Uponor Inc. F1960 Plumbing Fittings Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2393 (JPML).
The June 28 petition marks the second time in recent months that plaintiffs have moved to create an MDL docket for claims involving Uponor products. The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation on Feb. 9 denied a similar petition that involved allegedly defective plumbing components manufactured by several companies, including Uponor.
