SPOKANE, Wash. — A federal judge overseeing a Washington state drywall case has entered a protective order allowing a defense corrosion expert to be present during remediation of the plaintiffs’ drywall-damaged home. Schiefelbein v. Certainteed Gypsum Canada Inc., et al., No. 12-400 (E.D. Wash.).
In a July 6 decision, Chief Judge Rosanna Malouf Peterson granted in part the defendants’ motion to set certain conditions for the preservation and removal of drywall that plaintiffs John and Megan Schiefelbein claim is causing sulfur-related damage to components in their home.
