St. Paul, Travelers Insurers File Declaratory Action Against Lennar and KB Homes over Legal Counsel Dispute

CALIFORNIA –– St. Paul and Travelers insurers have filed four declaratory actions in California federal courts against Lennar Homes and KB Homes, asking the courts in all of the lawsuits to make a determination on the right to choose legal counsel for the general contractor.

In the declaratory actions, filed in June and July, the insurers contend that they maintain the right to select legal counsel for Lennar and KB for claims arising out of construction defects in San Diego and in Placer, Yolo and Napa Counties.
