ST. LOUIS — A federal appeals court has upheld a class action settlement of nearly 30,000 claims alleging damage caused by allegedly defective Uponor brass plumbing fixtures.
In a June 7 opinion, the 8th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals affirmed a Minnesota District Court’s decision to approve the deal over the objections of a group of California residents who argued that the settlement terms did not adequately resolve claims available under their state’s law.
Uponor Inc. and its affiliate, Radiant Technology Inc., were named in several class actions accusing both of manufacturing and distributing defective brass plumbing fixtures that leaked, …
