WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has denied a petition to consolidate federal lawsuits alleging injuries and property damage caused by volatile organic compounds that plaintiffs say are released into homes that contain polyurethane spray foam insulation.
In a June 6 order, the JPML recommended that parties involved in approximately a dozen similar spray foam insulation lawsuits pending in courts around the country work toward voluntary coordination of the cases as an alternative to MDL centralization.
