Condo Association Sues over Failed Victaulic Piping System Components

PORTLAND, Ore. — An Oregon condominium association has sued the manufacturer of a products used in a piping system that has failed prematurely, causing water damage to the interiors of as many as 125 condo units.
The lawsuit was filed March 20 in Multnomah County Circuit Court by the Edge Lofts Master Condominium Association and seeks damages of $1.5 million for diagnosing and repairing the problems, which the association says are linked to deteriorating rubber components used with several plumbing fixtures supplied by Victaulic Co.
