MIAMI — A federal judge has refused to certify the appeal of a choice-of-law ruling issued more than two years ago in a Florida Chinese drywall insurance coverage action.
Judge Patricia A. Seitz of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida ruled Feb. 27 that certifying for interlocutory appeal a October 2010 decision to apply California law to the dispute would do little to advance the case, which has been put on hold pending resolution of the underlying state court action.
