MIAMI — Amerisure Insurance Co. says it will oppose any motion to transfer to the Chinese drywall MDL a lawsuit it filed recently over coverage of contribution claims that homebuilder Lennar Corp. filed against several contractors.
In a Jan. 9 filing in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Miami, the insurer notes that in the nearly four years since the coordinated drywall docket was established in New Orleans, nearly a half-dozen efforts to transfer coverage actions to the MDL have been rejected.
