Parties in Chinese Drywall Settlements Respond to ‘Handful’ of Objections

NEW ORLEANS — Plaintiffs and defendants in five integrated settlement agreements that are awaiting final approval in the Chinese Drywall MDL have submitted responses to what they say are objections by only a handful of individuals who have expressed concerns about the deals.

In a joint response filed Dec. 17, the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee, Knauf Defendants and counsel for several classes of drywall plaintiffs said that among the 10 objectors, several lack standing to oppose the settlements.
