Parties File Joint Request to Put Trial of INEX Chinese Drywall Claims on Ice

NEW ORLEANS — A motion has been filed in Louisiana federal court requesting the postponement of a trial later this month aimed at determining whether Chinese drywall supplier INEX was a good faith seller of the product that damaged homes throughout the Southeastern United States.

The Nov. 14 motion, filed jointly by plaintiffs and INEX’s excess insurer North River Insurance Co., asks Chinese Drywall MDL Judge Eldon E. Fallon to continue the Nov. 26 trial date pending resolution of issues surrounding two global settlements that could impact the outcome of the trial.
