AKRON, Ohio — A federal judge in Ohio has dismissed a class action filed against Louisiana-Pacific Corp. by homeowners who alleged that the company’s wood trim substitute, Trimboard, contained defects that caused it to deteriorate prematurely.
Determining that none of the plaintiffs’ claims remain viable, Judge James G. Carr of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio ruled that the case failed to meet the prerequisites for maintaining a class action under the federal rules and must be dismissed.
