RICHMOND, Va. - The Virginia Supreme Court has agreed to determine whether four exclusions in a homeowners' policy bar coverage for damage allegedly caused by Chinese drywall. Travco Insurance Co. v. Ward, No. 10-1710 (4th Cir.).
On April 19, the state's highest court accepted a question certified by the 4th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on March 1, when the federal appeals panel decided that there exists no clear controlling Virginia precedent related to the issue of first-party coverage for drywall claims.
