GALVESTON, Texas - A Texas couple that moved out of their Galveston County home after discovering that is was constructed with Chinese drywall has sued homebuilder K. Hovnanian. DeBruin v. K. Hovnanian II, LLC, No. 11cv0741 (Texas Dist. Ct., Galveston Cty.).
The complaint, filed May 5 in Galveston County District Court, alleges that James and Candice DeBruin discovered on their own that the home they purchased in 2006 was built by K. Hovnanian with defective, Knauf-manufactured drywall.
