Default Judgment Entered in Fla.; Judge Says No Coverage for Claims Against Builder

FORT MYERS, Fla. - A federal judge in Florida has entered a default judgment against a couple and their builder, ultimately determining that an insurer has no duty to defend or indemnify the builder for Chinese drywall claims the couple asserted as part of an omnibus class action pending in MDL 2047. SUA Insurance Co. v. Tikal Construction Co., et al., No. 10-406 (M.D. Fla.).
