BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - A coordinated docket for dozens of Chinese drywall cases has been established in Alabama to facilitate administration of the property damage and personal injury claims. In Re: Chinese-Manufactured Drywall Products Liability Litigation, No. CV-2010-901753 (Ala. Cir. Ct., Jefferson Cty.).
Jefferson County Circuit Court Judge J. Scott Vowell signed an order March 8 consolidating the cases and assigning them to a single judge for discovery and pretrial purposes.
All pending and future Chinese drywall claims in Jefferson County will be placed on the administrative dockets of the judges to which they are assigned and consolidated before Judge …
