Knauf Urges Equal Treatment in Rules for Production of CPSC Communications

NEW ORLEANS - Defendant Knauf Plasterboard (Tianjin) Co. has filed a statement in the MDL concerning its dealings with government agencies such as the Consumer Products Safety Commission and says it will produce the information if all other parties in the litigation do the same. In Re: Chinese-Manufactured Drywall Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2047 (E.D. La.).
Knauf's Jan. 19 filing came at the request of Chinese Drywall MDL Judge Eldon E. Fallon, who is in the process of formulating a uniform rule for producing discovery related to communications with the CPSC.
