HACKENSACK, N.J. - New Jersey condominium owners have sued a builder and U.S.-based drywall manufacturer alleging that the companies are responsible for damage caused by Chinese drywall that was installed in their residences. Sadove, et al. v. Warjoe LLC, et al., No. L-8186-10 (N.J. Super. Ct., Bergen Cty.).
The lawsuit, filed in Bergen County Superior Court is believed to be one of the first cases involving damage caused by Chinese drywall that has been filed in New Jersey, where some reports indicated that several million pounds of potentially defective drywall was imported over the past four years.
