NEW ORLEANS - The federal Chinese Drywall MDL judge has denied motions to dismiss three coverage actions filed in Louisiana despite argument by a named carrier that the lawsuits or the transactions have no connection to the state. In Re: Chinese-Manufactured Drywall Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2047 (E.D. La.).
Judge Eldon E. Fallon denied the motions in a Minute Order released Nov. 3 and said written reason's for denying Mid-Continent Casualty Co.'s motions to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction would be released at a later date.
