NEW ORLEANS - Counsel for plaintiffs in the Chinese drywall MDL and attorneys who negotiated a Georgia state court settlement on behalf of homeowners who purchased allegedly defective drywall from Lowe's Home Centers have entered a joint motion to stay MDL claims against the retail giant. In Re: Chinese-Manufactured Drywall Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2047 (E.D. La.).
The joint motion was filed Nov. 9 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, a little more than a week after Lowe's amended its settlement agreement in Muscogee County Superior Court to increase payouts to class members.
