Va. State Court Trial Dates Continued As Plaintiffs Pursue Taishan Gypsum

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - A Virginia state court drywall case that was scheduled for trial in December has been continued so that plaintiffs can pursue direct claims against manufacturer Taishan Gypsum. Proto v. The Futura Group, et al., No. CL09-2455 (Va. Cir. Ct., Virginia Beach Cty.).

The trial date was continued Oct. 1 by an order issued in Virginia Beach Circuit Court, where Benjamin and Holly Proto sued several defendants for damage and injury caused by corrosive drywall. Trial had been set for Dec. 8.
