WASHINGTON, D.C. - Mid-Continent Casualty Co. has opposed a motion by several builders seeking reconsideration of an order that prevented several Florida coverage actions from being transferred to the Chinese Drywall MDL in New Orleans. In Re: Chinese-Manufactured Drywall Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2047 (JPML).
Mid-Continent says in a Sept. 3 opposition to a motion to reconsider the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation's order vacating transfer of four drywall-related declaratory judgment actions that the builders' arguments supporting reconsideration have already been considered by the JPML.
