NEW ORLEANS - Plaintiffs in the federal drywall MDL have moved to enjoin a Georgia state court class action, arguing that a preliminary settlement agreement in the case with retailer Lowe's Home Centers interferes with the federal court's jurisdiction over the litigation. In Re: Chinese-Manufactured Drywall Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2047 (E.D. La.).
The motion was filed Aug. 9 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, where several omnibus class actions have been brought by plaintiffs, including some who are also putative class members in the Georgia case.
