Supplier, Installer Appeal Drywall Ruling to Va. Supreme Court

RICHMOND, Va. - A Chinese drywall supplier and subcontractor that installed the allegedly defective product have appealed a lower court's recent decision to consolidate groups of cases for trial on all issues, including personal injury. In Re: All Pending Drywall Cases, No. 101314 (Va. Sup. Ct.).

In a petition filed July 6 in Virginia Supreme Court, Venture Supply and the Porter-Blaine Corp. contend that the trial court's decision entered the consolidation order after agreeing orally to group the cases for trial on the issue of property damage only and bifurcate the personal injury claims.
