Plaintiffs' Committee Ends Bid to Transfer Coverage Actions to MDL

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Chinese Drywall MDL plaintiffs' steering committee has abandoned efforts to have more than a half-dozen insurance coverage actions transferred to the coordinated docket in New Orleans. In Re: Chinese-Manufactured Drywall Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2047 (JPML).

In a June 18 notice withdrawing its motion to transfer the cases, the PSC told the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation that the issues presented in the coverage cases are similar to ones in other coverage cases the JPML refused to transfer to MDL 2047 in an order issued three days earlier.
