MIAMI, Fla. - Jurors have awarded nearly $2.47 million to a Miami couple for damage they said was caused by defective Chinese drywall installed in their home. Seifart v. Banner Supply Co., et al., No. 09-38887 CA 01 (03) (Fla. Cir. Ct., Miami-Dade Cty.).
The Florida 11th Circuit Court for Miami-Dade County jury returned the verdict on June 18 after two days of deliberations on claims by Armin and Lisa Seifart, who sued drywall supplier Banner Supply Co. and two other defendants after discovering that their Miami residence had been built with defective wallboard.
