NEW ORLEANS - Plaintiffs in the federal Chinese drywall litigation have asked the MDL judge to order several Knauf entities to respond to discovery requests so that the court can decide whether it has jurisdiction over the defendants. In Re: Chinese-Manufactured Drywall Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2047 (E.D. La.).
In a June 9 motion challenging the adequacy of responses offered to date, the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee contends that only one of the four Knauf-affiliated companies has responded to discovery, and the information obtained from Knauf Gips KG is riddled with inconsistencies.
