Nevada Drywall Class Action Dismissed to Comply with Statute

LAS VEGAS - A lawsuit over allegedly defective drywall installed in numerous Nevada homes has been dismissed so that plaintiffs can comply with a statute the requires them to give notice of a potential claim before suing for construction defects. Moniz, et al., v. US Home Corp., et al., No. A-09-597564 (Nev. Dist. Ct., Clark Cty.).
Sources told HarrisMartin Publishing that the class action lawsuit in Clark County District Court was voluntarily dismissed without prejudice on May 10, so that plaintiffs can notify their builders of the drywall-related defects and give them an opportunity to repair the damage.
