NEW ORLEANS - The second federal Chinese drywall trial involving property damage claims asserted by a homeowner has ended with a $164,000 verdict against manufacturer Knauf Plasterboard Tianjin Co. Hernandez v. Knauf Gips KG, et al., No. 09-06050 (E.D. La.).
U.S. District Court Judge Eldon E. Fallon of the Eastern District of Louisiana returned the verdict for Louisiana residents Tatum and Charlene Hernandez, who the court said have endured the effects of Chinese drywall since purchasing their home in 2006.
