MDL Judge Awards $2.6 Million to Va. Homeowners for Drywall Damage

NEW ORLEANS - Seven families who claimed their Virginia homes were damaged as a result of defective Chinese drywall have been awarded more than $2.6 million for losses caused by manufacturer Taishan Gypsum.

In a decision issued this morning, Judge Eldon E. Fallon of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana ruled that the homeowners have suffered property damage, personal property damage and other forms of compensable damages as a result of the Taishan drywall installed in their home.
