WASHINGTON, D.C. - HarrisMartin Publishing has learned that a motion is pending before the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (JPML) to create a federal docket for claims alleging damage caused by defective drywall manufactured in the United States. In Re: U.S. Drywall Products Liability Litigation, No. 2160 (JPML).
The March 23 petition requests that all cases brought by homeowners who suffered damage or personal injuries as a result of American-made drywall be transferred and coordinated before Judge Jose Martinez of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
