Plaintiffs to Scrap Class Allegations in 'Domestic' Drywall Case

OCALA, Fla. - Plaintiffs who sued on behalf of others whose homes were allegedly damaged by drywall not manufactured in China have indicated in court filings that they intend to dismiss class allegations from their complaint. Swidler v. Georgia-Pacific LLC, et al., No. 09-181 (M.D. Fla.).
In a Feb. 11 motion to continue a case management conference that was scheduled for Feb. 17 in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, counsel for Michael and Jill Swidler stated that the plaintiffs have decided to pursue their claims on an individual bases.
