NEW ORLEANS - A Florida-based housing developer has sued several insurers for coverage of claims by homeowners who allege their residences were built with defective Chinese drywall. Centerline Homes Construction Inc., et al. v. Mid-Continent Casualty Co., et al., No. 10-178 (E.D. La.).

Centerline Homes Construction and several affiliates filed the declaratory judgment action Jan. 26 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, requesting an order indicating that the defendant insurers have an obligation to defend and indemnify Centerline against drywall complaints and damages.
