PUNTA GORDA, Fla. - A general contractor has sued Mid-Continent Casualty Co. to recover funds it spent to replace defective drywall that a subcontractor insured by Mid-Continent installed in a Florida golf community. Taylor Woodrow Communities at Vasari, et al. v. Mid-Continent Casualty Co., No. 09-823 (Fla. Cir. Ct., Charlotte Cty.).
Taylor Woodrow Communities at Vasari LLC filed the complaint in Charlotte County Circuit Court, claiming that it was a named insured under the subcontractor's policy and is entitled to coverage for damages incurred as a result of the defective drywall.
