Another Louisiana Homeowner Sues Insurer over Chinese Drywall




NEW ORLEANS - Another couple in Louisiana has sued its homeowner's insurer claiming that it wrongfully denied their claim for coverage of damage caused by allegedly defective Chinese drywall. Dennis v. State Farm Fire & Casualty Co., No. 09-7560 (E.D. La.).

In a Nov. 3 lawsuit filed in St. Tammany Parish District Court, Patrick and Kathleen Dennis allege that State Farm Fire and Casualty Co. failed to meet its obligations under the Dennises' homeowner's policy by refusing to cover their drywall claim. The case was removed to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana on Dec. 4.
