Plaintiffs' Committee Chooses La. Case for March Bellwether Trial

NEW ORLEANS - The plaintiffs' steering committee has selected a lawsuit by Louisiana homeowners as the first Chinese drywall case to go to trial. Hernandez v. Knauf Gips KG, et al., No. 09-6050 (E.D. La.)

In a status report issued Dec. 10, Judge Eldon E. Fallon of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana said the PSC recently submitted a letter to the court indicating that it had chosen a complaint filed by Tatum and Charlene Hernandez as the drywall litigation's first bellwether trial.
