BAY MINETTE, Ala. - The Alabama Chinese drywall plaintiffs who attempted to serve foreign Knauf defendants through U.S.-based Knauf Insulation GmbH have conceded that service was improper. Loftis v. Knauf Gips KG, et al., No. 09-323 (Ala. Cir. Ct., Baldwin Cty.).
An joint motion entered Nov. 12 in Baldwin County Circuit Court indicates that Dell and Lydia Loftis have agreed that a motion to quash service of process on Knauf Insulation GmbH, which the plaintiffs' summons identified as Knauf Fiberglass, should be granted.
