BAY MINETTE, Ala. - Parties in a Chinese drywall case set for trial this month in Alabama state court have agreed to push back the trial date four months so they can conduct additional discovery. Loftis v. Knauf GIPS KG, et al., No. CV09-323 (Ala. Cir. Ct., Baldwin Cty.).

According to a motion and order filed Oct. 19 in Baldwin County Circuit Court, the claims of Dell and Lydia Loftis have been reset for trial on March 1, 2010. The case would have been the first Chinese drywall case in the nation to be heard by a jury had trial …
