Plaintiffs Request Expedited Discovery Ahead of Drywall MDL Trials

NEW ORLEANS - Citing the MDL court's "ambitious goal" of conducting bellwether trials in four months, the Plaintiffs Steering Committee in the federal Chinese Drywall Litigation has requested that the court allow for expedited discovery. In Re: Chinese-Manufactured Drywall Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2047 (E.D. La.).

In a motion filed Sept. 11 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the PSC argues that in order to adequately prepare for the upcoming trials, discovery must be completed in short order.
