NEW ORLEANS - A developer that filed a class action complaint against manufacturers and suppliers of allegedly defective drywall has moved for a default judgment against one of the foreign defendants named in the case. The Mitchell Company Inc. v. Knauf Gips KG, et al., No. 09-1145 (E.D. La.).
The Mitchell Company Inc. filed the motion Sept. 2 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, saying that Taishan Gypsum Co. is more than a month past its deadline for entering an appearance or otherwise responding to the company's complaint.
