Bankruptcy Court Dismisses Drywall Supplier's Chapter 11 Case

TAMPA, Fla. - A federal bankruptcy judge has dismissed the voluntary Chapter 11 petition of a construction materials supplier named as a defendant in Chinese drywall litigation. In re: Black Bear Gypsum Supply Inc., No. 07-07120 (M.D. Fla. Bankr.).

Judge Catherine Peek McEwen of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida said in a July 27 order that dismissal of Black Bear Gypsum Supply Inc.'s bankruptcy proceeding is appropriate given the supplier's failure to prove operating reports since June 2008.
