Judge Appoints Steering Committees in Chinese Drywall MDL

NEW ORLEANS - The plaintiff and defense steering committees for the Chinese-Manufactured Drywall Products Liability MDL have been announced. In Re: Chinese-Manufactured Drywall Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2047 (E.D. La.).

In orders issued recently, Judge Eldon E. Fallon of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana appointed nine attorneys to the defense committee and 13 attorneys to head the plaintiffs' committee. Committee members will be responsible for initiating and coordinating discovery in all cases that have been consolidated in the MDL docket, among other responsibilities.
