OCALA, Fla. - All parties in a class action filed over allegedly defective, but non-Chinese, drywall have asked a federal judge to hold a status conference to discuss an impending transfer of the case to the federal MDL. Swidler v. Georgia-Pacific Gypsum LLC, et al., No. 09-181 (M.D. Fla.).
The joint motion was filed Aug. 5 in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, where Michael and Jill Swidler filed their class action against Georgia-Pacific Gypsum and 84 Lumber Co. several months ago.
