- Answer and Cross Claim
NORFOLK, Va. - An insurance company named by another insurer as a defendant in a declaratory judgment action has asserted cross-claims alleging that it too should not be responsible for paying on a policy it issued to a builder named in Chinese drywall claims. Builders Mutual Insurance Co. v. Dragas Management Co., et al., No. 09-195 (E.D. Va.).
Firemen's Insurance Co. of Washington D.C. brought the cross-claims, which, similar to the insurer plaintiff, assert no coverage based on several exclusions in the subject policy, in an answer filed May 21 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
