N.C. Residents File Class Action, Seek Subclass Against Drywall Installer

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. - A class action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of homeowners in North Carolina who claim their homes were damaged, and that they have suffered personal injuries, as a result of imported drywall installed in their residences. Hinkley, et al. v. Taishan Gypsum Co. Ltd., et al., No. 09-25 (E.D. N.C.).

The suit, filed May 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, seeks damages from a foreign company responsible for manufacturing or distributing the allegedly defective drywall.
