WASHINGTON, D.C. - Argument will be heard May 27 on several petitions to transfer and coordinate all pending and future federal court lawsuits alleging damages caused by Chinese-manufactured drywall. In Re: Chinese-Manufactured Drywall Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2047 (JPML).
An April 23 order from the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation identified 10 cases in five different federal courts that could be transferred to a centralized docket for pre-trial coordination. According to sources, approximately 20 separate motions have been filed seeking coordination of a federal Chinese drywall docket.
