FORT MYERS, Fla. - A couple in Florida who sought coverage for Chinese drywall damages under their homeowners' policy have sued their insurer for denying their claim and refusing to reveal the results of testing done on the property. Baker, et al. v. American Home Assurance Co. Inc., No. 09-188 (M.D. Fla.).
Keith A. Baker and Linda R. Leri filed the lawsuit March 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida after AIG-affiliate American Home Assurance Co. Inc. verbally denied their claim on grounds that the alleged damages were caused by "contamination."
